Increased learning - equity - meeting places; three important core values that permeate all work in the schools of Nässjö municipality, a medium-sized municipality with about 30,000 inhabitants in the Småland highlands. To realize this, the municipal council has adopted a strategic and long-term development plan for preschool and school in Nässjö municipality.

About the Organization

Handskerydsskolan is looking for a licensed teacher for teaching in grades F–3. The position means that you will be part of a school in development, where knowledge, safety, and joy are fundamental values and where strong collegial collaboration is a central part of our operations.

Handskerydsskolan is an F–6 school with approximately 320 students, characterized by competent staff, a clear sense of community, and a long-term development effort. The school is facing an exciting future with a new school building underway and has a strong focus on developing teaching and learning environments to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being.

As part of our development work, Handskerydsskolan participates in IBIS – Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools, a model aimed at creating safe, predictable, and inclusive learning environments for all students. IBIS is based on a school-wide effort with positive behavioral support and is a Swedish further development of the evidence-based models SW-PBIS and PALS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in F3, you will:

• plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to applicable governing documents
• create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment tailored to the needs of younger students
• be responsible for knowledge development primarily in basic reading, writing, and mathematics
• work closely with colleagues in teams and contribute to collegial learning
• build good and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and development processes

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed teacher with qualifications for teaching in grades F3
• has good didactic skills and confidence in working with younger students' early knowledge development
• works in a structured manner and appreciates collegial working methods
• easily creates professional relationships and safe learning environments
• wants to contribute to school development and thrives in a forward-looking environment

Personal qualities such as collaboration skills, relationship-building competence, and a professional approach will be given great importance.
